The Front EndFor this stage I regretted not having taken more photos and notes when I first took the bike apart. As most of the workshop manuals are for later models, the smaller washers and bearings are a bit different to the VB1. I did a dry first build to make sure I knew where everything went and then once I was happy did the final assembly.Front end Reassembley - Problems with o rings, none on there - Bottom mount for spring, tight fit - new bearings, used castrol LM grease - Vaseline on shock rubbers Attaching to the main body Put the speedo cable in before attaching the front end, goes through hole midway down the column, front brake out at the bottom, use a straightened coathanger Stood the front end upright then packed the ball race with grease, added the 19 bearings Greased the top bearing before putting in the seat, not sure if you're supposed to Didn't use the special tool, just a hammer and drift to tap on tight, nut, special lock washer, other nut.
